On Set Nurse

Role Description

On set nurse is in charge of dealing with both serious accidents, and minor injuries, illnesses and ailments on set.

You need to be a registered nurse or have your Senior First Aid.

Tasks include

• Being on standby during filming in case of an emergency.

• Offering first-aid services when there is an injury on set. 

• Treating actors or crew members who fall sick during filming. 

• Sending team members to get additional treatment if required. 

• Stabilize the patient and then decide whether or not they need additional treatment.

• Documenting all injuries or medical incidents that happen during filming. 

Skills needed

• Good teamwork and people skills.

• Self-motivation and determination.

• The ability to work under pressure.

• Quick to think on your feet.
