AACTA Awards – A Night to Remember!
The Just A Farmer team had an unforgettable experience at the AACTA Awards! While we didn’t take home the win, we certainly turned heads—literally! My dress nearly saw me refused entry (a story for another time!), and Sean was recognized as best dressed by none other than Jenny Beavan, the Academy Award-winning costume designer behind Mad Max. It was a night filled with incredible talent, and we were honored to be among Australia’s best in film.

Community Screenings – Growing Every Day!
While awards are wonderful, our true mission is getting this film into communities where it can make a real difference. In just five days, we’ve received over 80 enquiries from communities eager to host screenings. We’re working hard to bring Just A Farmer to as many towns as possible.
With screenings already locked in and more being booked daily, we hope to reach 110 screenings across Australia by the end of the year. Many of these communities need help with sponsorship, as they may not have the means to host one. Every dollar makes a difference. If you would like to support a community screening, you can contribute here: SUPPORT COMMUNITY SCREENINGS.

SPA Awards – Best Feature Film Production Nomination!

We’re excited to share that Just A Farmer has been nominated for Best Feature Film Production of the Year at the prestigious Screen Producers Australia (SPA) Awards! This is a huge achievement, recognizing not just the film but the powerful message it carries.
The awards will be held in May on the Gold Coast, and we’re honored to stand alongside Australia’s top productions once again.
New Documentary – The Power of Storytelling

We’re launching an exciting new project—a documentary exploring how storytelling can create real change. This film will follow Just A Farmer as it travels across the country, capturing the impact it has on people’s lives. We’ll be speaking directly with farmers, families, and communities about the conversations this film is sparking and the difference it’s making in mental health awareness.
This is about more than just one film—it’s about how powerful, real stories can bring people together, start conversations, and inspire action.
Join the Movement
The journey of Just A Farmer is far from over. With every screening, every shared story, and every conversation sparked, we’re making a real impact. If you believe in the power of storytelling and want to be part of this movement, there are many ways to get involved—host a screening, share the film, or support a community in need.
Together, we can bring this important story to more people, create meaningful change, and strengthen communities across Australia. Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for being part of this journey!
